Simpson Cup 2015 - Let the games begin!
After a tremendous Opening Ceremony and great day out for the Player/Sponsor Golf Day, the 2015 Simpson Cup gets under way in earnest with Tuesday's fourball matches.

Hurricane flyovers, Coldstream Guard Marching Bands, Gurkha Knife Dances and a challenging Monday on the course. It's been a whirlwind 24 hours at Royal St George's Golf Club which has included both a glorious Opening Ceremony and a hugely successful Player/Sponsor Day. But it's down to the real business now, as the captains of Team GB and Team USA announced their pairings for Tuesday's fourball matches to kickstart the 2015 Simpson Cup.

Team GB captain Jason Evans, tasked with winning back the Cup his side surrendered at Congressional in 2014, will be leading the charge first up, as he pairs up with Anthony Lownds. They'll be squaring up against Evans' opposite number TJ Brooks, and his playing partner Jonathan L. James.

The first three pairings for the home side are littered with experience, as vice-captain Paul Swain pairs up with the in-form Mike Browne, while Dave Ward and Ian Bishop will be third out. The latter duo will come up against popular 56-year old Dave Bagby from Virginia, who'll have Minnesota's Brian Saaristo by his side.

Kushnal Limbu, the first Gurkha to play in the Simpson Cup, will be in the fourth fourball, while debutants Andy Stevens and Nathan Blewer will have all eyes on them as they find themselves in the final pairing. They'll be taking on fellow new-comer Ken Gestring, along with Chris Bowers - now a veteran of four Simpson Cups.

History suggests day one will be a close affair, with Team GB enjoying a slender cumulative advantage of 9.5 to 8.5 over the 18 previous fourball matches in the last three years.

Both teams will be fired up though, and will recongise the imperative of ceasing an early advantage ahead of Wednesday's singles matches. After a long 12 months, an exciting two-day buildup, it's game on here at Royal St George's... Let's see who brings home the 2015 Simpson Cup!
